Welcome!

I’m Joy Onovo

Your go-to girl for all things sewing and crafting

I’ve been sewing since 2013, working as a bespoke seamstress before discovering my true passion: teaching others how to create beautiful things with their hands. After years of making custom pieces, I realized what I loved most wasn’t just the finished garment — it was the process, the learning, and the joy that comes from making something yourself.

This blog is my way of reaching people all over the world, sharing the skills I’ve gathered through the years. Here, you’ll find simple sewing tutorials, clothing patterns, quilting projects, crochet ideas, paper crafts, sublimation crafts, and more — all designed to help you learn, grow, and enjoy the art of making.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s create something beautiful together.

Learn, create and be inspired with beginner-friendly tutorials, patterns and craft tips designed to help you make beautiful things with confidence.

Behind the blog

How it all started

Uwe by Anuri began as a simple idea: to share the joy of making beautiful things. I’m Joy, a former bespoke seamstress who’s been sewing since 2013. After years of crafting custom pieces, I realized my true passion wasn’t just in creating, but in teaching others how to create too.

This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share tutorials, patterns, and creative inspiration with makers around the world. From simple sewing projects to quilting, crochet, paper crafts, and sublimation, Uwe by Anuri exists to help you learn, craft, and create with confidence—one stitch, one project, and one idea at a time.
